Bhubaneswar: According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is expected to affect at least 17 districts in Odisha, including the city of Bhubaneswar, within the next three hours on Monday.
In a warning issued at 10:20 AM, the IMD provided a yellow alert for Puri and Khordha, which encompasses Bhubaneswar, indicating the likelihood of light to moderate rain along with thunderstorms and lightning in these areas.
Earlier, at 10:10 AM, the weather agency also issued a yellow warning for Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Kendujhar, Anugola, Debagada, Sundaragada, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Baragada, Balangir, Sonpur, and Nuapada, forecasting similar conditions for the next three hours.
