New Special Train to Enhance UP-Andhra Pradesh Rail Links: Details and Schedule

A new special train service has been launched to enhance direct rail links between northern India and the east coast, connecting Prayagraj to Visakhapatnam. This service will also assist passengers traveling through significant cities in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha.

Prayagraj – Visakhapatnam Special Train: Schedule, Timing, Route

The special train, designated as Train No. 04159, will operate every Friday from August 14 to November 27, 2026. It is scheduled to leave Prayagraj at 10:15 AM and arrive in Visakhapatnam at 1:30 PM the following day.

Conversely, the return journey, Train No. 04160, will run every Saturday from August 15 to November 28, 2026. This train will depart from Visakhapatnam at 3:40 PM, reaching Prayagraj at 5:30 PM on Sunday.

Key Stops Along the Route

The special train will make several stops, linking various cities and regions across central and eastern India. Major stations along its route include Prayagraj, Manikpur, Satna, Katni, Shahdol, Anuppur, Pendra Road, Bilaspur, Raigarh, Jharsuguda Road, Sambalpur, Titlagarh, Rayagada, Parvatipuram, Vizianagaram, and Visakhapatnam.

This route will facilitate travel across Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh, providing passengers with a wider range of travel options to these areas.

16 Scheduled Trips in Each Direction

The special service will be available for a limited time, with a total of 16 trips planned from Prayagraj to Visakhapatnam and an additional 16 return trips. As the service is scheduled to conclude in November 2026, travelers are advised to check for the latest timetables and seat availability when planning their journeys.
