Early Monday morning, a fire occurred at an SBI ATM located near the Belpahar railway gate in the Jharsuguda district of Odisha.
While the exact cause of the fire is still under investigation, officials suspect it may have originated from a short circuit.
Local residents noticed smoke rising from the ATM and promptly alerted the fire department.
Fire services, along with a security team from TRL Krosaki, quickly arrived on the scene to extinguish the flames.
Smoke was observed coming from the ATM’s air conditioning unit, and responders later determined that the fire had started from the battery within the ATM.
Fortunately, the fire has been contained, and there have been no reports of casualties or injuries.
