Sundaragada: On Friday, about 25 passengers sustained injuries, with several in critical condition, after a private bus overturned in the Gurundia region of Odisha’s Sundaragada district.
Initial reports indicate that the bus, which was transporting more than 40 passengers from Jharsuguda to Bonai, rolled over near Madhupur, within the jurisdiction of the Gurundia police station.
The injured individuals were promptly rescued and provided with first aid before being transferred to hospitals in Bonai and Raurkela for further medical care. The exact reasons for the accident are still under investigation.
Authorities arrived at the scene following notification of the incident and have begun looking into the factors that contributed to the crash.
