Bhubaneswar: On August 15, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will raise the National Flag and oversee the salute during the state-level Independence Day events in Bhubaneswar.
The state government has outlined arrangements for the day, designating Deputy Chief Ministers K V Singh Deo and Pravati Parida to hoist the tricolour in Kalahandi and Sundargarh, respectively.
Other ministers will represent different districts for the celebrations. Suresh Pujari will be present in Kataka, Rabi Narayan Naik in Anugola, Nityananda Gond in Malkangiri, Krushna Chandra Patra in Sambalpur, Prithiviraj Harichandan in Ganjam, Mukesh Mahaling in Rayagada, Bibhuti Bhusan Jena in Kandhamal, and Krushna Chandra Mahapatra in Khordha.
Ganesh Ram Singh Khuntia will participate in the Independence Day events in Puri, while Suryabanshi Suraj, Pradeep Bal Samanta, Gokulananda Mallik, and Sampad Chandra Swain have been assigned to oversee celebrations in Balangir, Baleshwar, Gajapati, and Koraput, respectively.
In the remaining districts, senior administrative officials will lead the festivities. The RDC (Central Division) will be present in Jagatsinghpur, and the RDC (Southern Division) will attend the program in Brahmapur.
Collectors have been tasked with leading the celebrations in Baragarh, Bhadrak, Boudh, Debagarh, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Kendrapada, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Nayagarh, Nuapada, and Subarnapur.
The Additional District Magistrate (ADM) for Raurkela will represent the Independence Day program in that city.
