In Jharsuguda, Odisha, a group of thieves reportedly stole gold jewelry worth around ₹1 crore from a jewelry store last night. The establishment is located close to the Old Bus Stand in the area.
Initial reports from the police indicate that the burglars gained access to the roof by using a scooter parked at a nearby location. They are said to have cut through a side wall, entered the first floor of the shop, and subsequently accessed the main area where the jewelry is displayed.
Additionally, the thieves allegedly took the store’s Digital Video Recorder (DVR) in an apparent attempt to erase any evidence of their break-in.
Jharsuguda’s Superintendent of Police and Town Police have commenced an investigation and are actively working to identify and capture the criminals involved.
