Sambalpur: A man aged 36 died from gunshot wounds in a shooting incident reported on Saturday within the jurisdiction of Burla police station.
The victim has been named as Md Anish.
Initial investigations indicate that the shooting was the result of a personal conflict and ongoing grievances between the individuals involved. The police have arrested the suspect, Raja Swami from Mangala Bazar in Jharsuguda, who is now in custody at Burla police station.
The firearm used in the incident has also been recovered by law enforcement. Authorities are currently conducting further inquiries into the case.
Officials have stated that this incident seems to stem from a personal dispute between the parties involved, with no evidence suggesting any broader threat to public safety at this time.
