JAIPUR, India, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Raghav Productivity Enhancers Ltd. (RPEL), recognized as the largest producer of silica ramming mass globally, has revealed a strategic joint venture with TRL Krosaki Refractories Ltd. (TRL Krosaki) aimed at establishing a manufacturing plant in Odisha with an annual capacity of 350,000 metric tonnes. The venture will kick off with an initial investment of about ₹100 crore.

This collaboration is a crucial aspect of RPEL’s strategy to enhance its manufacturing footprint across multiple locations, improve its presence in East India, and create a more efficient supply chain in proximity to major consumption areas.

The joint venture will leverage RPEL’s patented manufacturing technology, its established market presence, and research and development capabilities, while also harnessing TRL Krosaki’s regional strengths, access to quartzite resources in Odisha, and global expertise in refractories, supported by Krosaki Harima Corporation and Nippon Steel Corporation from Japan. With RPEL’s current production capacity of 534,000 MTPA and operations in 26 states across India and over 40 countries, this partnership lays a robust foundation for further expanding its market and manufacturing reach.

Mr. Sanjay Kabra, Chairman of Raghav Productivity Enhancers Ltd., commented, “This strategic partnership marks an important milestone in RPEL’s growth journey and our transition towards a multi-location manufacturing platform. By combining our differentiated technology and market capabilities with TRLK’s raw material resources, regional presence and global industry expertise, we are creating a strong platform for sustainable growth. This partnership also takes us closer to our ambition of reaching 1 Mn MTPA capacity and approximately 30% domestic market share, while reinforcing our focus on quality and cost leadership.”

A significant benefit of the joint venture will be the long-term exclusive rights to quartzite sourced from TRL Krosaki’s mines, ensuring a stable supply of raw materials and consistent product quality. RPEL will earn royalties from the use of its patented manufacturing processes. Additionally, the strategic location of the facility will enhance RPEL’s access to key markets in East India, facilitating shorter delivery times, improved supply chain efficiency, and reduced costs for customers.

Mr. Prasant Kumar Naik, Managing Director of TRL Krosaki Refractories Limited, remarked, “This joint venture signifies a strategic milestone for TRL Krosaki, allowing us to maximize the value of our mineral resources and explore new growth opportunities. Our collaboration with RPEL combines complementary strengths in technology, manufacturing, and raw material access, fortifying our position in the silica ramming mass market. The project will also promote industrial development in Jharsuguda and its surrounding areas by providing employment, supporting local businesses, and contributing to long-term economic growth.”

The new facility in Odisha will bolster RPEL’s manufacturing and supply chain capabilities while establishing a platform for deeper market penetration in East India. Furthermore, this joint venture represents a significant step toward RPEL’s broader goal of expanding its manufacturing capacity to 1 Mn MTPA and reinforcing its leadership in the silica ramming mass sector.
