Raurkela: Police in Raurkela have detained three individuals, including the son of a retired Superintendent of Police, in relation to the stay of an adult film actor at the government-operated Circuit House over nine months ago.

Authorities are probing how the actor was accommodated at the facility and whether proper procedures were followed during the room allotment in December of the previous year.

This latest issue arises shortly after a controversy involving the arrest of Prakash Paswan, a representative of Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, who was detained on allegations of harboring criminals at the same circuit house.

As per police reports, a local travel operator provided a luxury vehicle to the owner of a private company in Uditnagar. The actor was allegedly transported from Jharsuguda airport to Rourkela using this vehicle.

Authorities believe that the retired police officer’s son, who is reportedly acquainted with the firm’s owner, may have facilitated the actor’s accommodation at the circuit house. The situation came to light after videos, purportedly posted by the actor on social media, depicted parts of her journey from Jharsuguda to Rourkela and the interior of the circuit house.

In response to the unfolding controversy, police initiated an investigation on Thursday evening, leading to the detention of the travel agency owner, the retired officer’s son, and a co-owner of the private firm for questioning.

Officials are currently reviewing the conditions under which the booking was made and the reasons for the actor’s visit. Additionally, employees of the circuit house are also being interrogated.
