Bhubaneswar: On Friday, significant security measures were implemented at two district courts in Odisha following the receipt of bomb threat emails, instigating fear among lawyers, staff, visitors, and litigants.

Panic ensued at the district court complexes in Jagatsinghpur and Jharsuguda as authorities acted on the emails indicating potential bomb attacks.

According to reports, an unidentified sender threatened to detonate explosives at both locations in the correspondence. In response to the alarming message, security protocols were promptly reinforced at the court facilities.

Police units, bomb disposal teams, and specialized squads quickly arrived at the sites to conduct comprehensive search operations. Every area of the court complexes is being thoroughly inspected, with suspicious items being monitored closely.

Meanwhile, a cyber investigation team has commenced efforts to trace the origin of the threatening email.

So far, no explosives have been discovered during the preliminary searches. As a precaution, the administration has implemented all necessary safety measures to prevent any potential incidents.
