Jharsuguda: A head-on collision between two motorcycles near the Barkhandia Football Ground within the Brajrajnagar police jurisdiction led to the deaths of two individuals and serious injuries to two others on Saturday evening.
The incident occurred around 6 pm, with the bikes colliding with significant force, resulting in severe injuries for all four riders involved.
Residents in the area quickly responded by notifying emergency services and transporting the injured to the Jharsuguda District Headquarters Hospital via ambulance. Unfortunately, medical staff pronounced two of the victims dead upon arrival, while the other two remain hospitalized in critical condition.
At the time of reporting, the identities of the deceased and the injured had not yet been confirmed, but initial reports indicate that all four individuals hailed from the nearby Sundargarh district.
Authorities arrived at the scene shortly after being informed and have initiated an inquiry to determine the factors that contributed to the accident. Additional information is pending.
