Bhubaneswar: IndiGo Airlines will commence a direct flight service from Biju Patnaik International Airport to Pune starting October 25. According to airline representatives, the flights will operate daily using Airbus A320 aircraft. With this new route, IndiGo will serve a total of 15 destinations from Bhubaneswar.
The new service to Pune adds a second flight option for travelers, complementing an existing Air India Express route. Airport sources indicated that other domestic flights, which were suspended during the summer, have not been reinstated in the winter schedule, aside from the addition of the Pune service. Previously, the number of destinations available had decreased from 30 to 19 during the summer season. However, with the resumption of flights to Jharsuguda and Dubai, the total number of connected destinations has increased to 21, including one international location.
